How we handle your data

The Dutch Baseball App respects your privacy and processes data in line with the GDPR and Dutch UAVG. Below you'll read what we keep, why and for how long.

1. Who are we?

Nederlandse Honkbal App, bereikbaar via honkbalapp.nl. Contact voor privacyvragen: admin.honkbalapp@gmail.com.

2. What data do we process?

  • Account: voor- en achternaam, e-mail, gehasht wachtwoord, geboortedatum, taalvoorkeur, thema, 2FA-configuratie, tijdstip van privacy-akkoord.
  • Spelerprofiel (optioneel): rugnummer, positie, slag-/gooihand, (eventueel) geboorteplaats, lengte, gewicht, profielfoto, statistieken per wedstrijd.
  • Betaalgegevens: PayPal transactie-ID, bedrag, datum, tier en periode. Kaartdata zien wij niet - die blijven bij PayPal.
  • Notificaties: push-endpoint van je browser, notificatie-voorkeuren.
  • Beveiliging (tijdelijk): IP-adres en device-fingerprint bij rolaanvragen (max 6 maanden).
  • Consent-audit: geanonimiseerd IP, tijdstempel en je cookie-keuze (max 13 maanden).

3. Data about minors

Voor spelers onder de 16 jaar geldt dat een ouder of wettelijk vertegenwoordiger toestemming moet geven (UAVG art. 5). De ouder ontvangt een bevestigingsmail; het account wordt pas actief na bevestiging. Voor minderjarigen staan de standaardinstellingen op privacy-vriendelijk: naam wordt als "Speler #" getoond en foto is verborgen. Zie ook de kinder-privacyverklaring.

  • Uitvoering van overeenkomst (art. 6 lid 1b AVG) - account, spelerprofiel-kerndata, betalingen.
  • Toestemming (art. 6 lid 1a AVG) - foto, optionele bio-velden, push-notificaties, analytische cookies.
  • Gerechtvaardigd belang (art. 6 lid 1f AVG) - misbruikpreventie, kostenmonitoring AI-chat, feedback-afhandeling.
  • Wettelijke verplichting (art. 6 lid 1c AVG) - ouder-consent voor minderjarigen, bewaarplicht betaalgegevens (AWR art. 52).

5. Who do we share data with?

We delen gegevens alleen met subverwerkers die namens ons verwerken. Met elke partij is een verwerkersovereenkomst (DPA) gesloten. Actuele lijst:

  • Render (hosting, EU-regio)
  • Neon (PostgreSQL, EU-regio)
  • Brevo (transactionele e-mail, EU-Frankrijk)
  • Cloudinary (afbeeldingen, EU-regio waar beschikbaar)
  • PayPal Europe S.à r.l. (betalingen, EU-Luxemburg)
  • Anthropic (AI, VS - onder EU-US Data Privacy Framework)
  • Google (Analytics, VS - alleen met jouw opt-in, onder DPF)

Doorgifte buiten de EU vindt alleen plaats onder het EU-US Data Privacy Framework of onder Standaard Contractuele Bepalingen.

6. How long do we keep data?

  • Accountgegevens: zolang je account bestaat; inactief > 24 maanden → waarschuwing + verwijdering na 30 dagen.
  • Betaalgegevens: 7 jaar (wettelijke bewaarplicht), daarna verwijderd. Bij account-verwijdering: geanonimiseerd (geen link meer naar jouw persoon).
  • Wachtwoord-reset-tokens: 7 dagen.
  • 2FA-codes: 1 dag.
  • IP/device bij rolaanvragen: 6 maanden.
  • Logs: 30 dagen.
  • Consent audit-log: 13 maanden.
  • Chat-logs (metadata): 13 maanden.

7. Your rights

  • Inzage & dataportabiliteit (art. 15, 20): download je data via Mijn account → Data downloaden.
  • Correctie (art. 16): via Mijn profiel of e-mail.
  • Verwijdering (art. 17): via Mijn account → Account verwijderen (7 dagen bedenktijd).
  • Beperking van verwerking (art. 18): mail admin.honkbalapp@gmail.com.
  • Bezwaar (art. 21): notificatie-opt-outs in je profiel, of mail ons.
  • Intrekken toestemming (art. 7): altijd mogelijk via instellingen of e-mail.
  • Klacht bij toezichthouder: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Reactietermijn: binnen één maand.

8. Security

We nemen passende maatregelen: wachtwoord-hashing (PBKDF2), 2FA standaard aan, HTTPS met HSTS, CSRF-bescherming, rate-limiting, security headers (CSP, X-Frame-Options), versleutelde database-verbinding, logs zonder PII, automatische verwijdering van verlopen tokens.

Below you will find an overview of all features available per role in the app.

Permission Pyramid

Every higher role inherits all permissions from the roles below it, plus additional features. A Club Admin can do everything a Team Manager can, and more.

The higher in the pyramid, the more you can do

Without an account, only a small part of the app is visible. You can view the home page and the Senior Hoofdklasse standings, the rest of the app is restricted.

  • Home page & recent results
    Recent game results and general information are visible on the home page.
  • Senior Hoofdklasse standings
    Only the Hoofdklasse standings are publicly visible. All other competitions require an account.
  • Create an account
    Register for free to access all standings, games, team overviews and player pages.

Includes all features from the previous role(s).

As a logged-in Viewer, you have access to all standings, games, team overviews and player pages. You can browse the full app but cannot make any changes.

  • View standings per competition & pool
    Filter by competition or pool and see which team is on top.
  • Competition phases (Hoofdklasse / 1e klasse)
    For the Hoofdklasse or 1e klasse, use the phase dropdown to view the Top/Bottom poule, play-offs, Holland/Championship Series or promotion/relegation. The Top and Bottom poules are determined live from the standings: points are carried over, the continuation games start at 0.
  • View games, schedules & results
    Browse the schedule, results and per-game statistics. Choose a competition and set filters, your selection is remembered and restored on your next visit.
  • View team overviews & rosters
    View rosters, staff and team statistics per team.
  • Best offense & defense
    Under League Leaders → Teams you can see which teams score the most runs and allow the fewest, per pool or all pools combined, sortable and with charts.
  • View player pages & statistics
    View detailed batting, fielding and pitching statistics per player.

Includes all features from the previous role(s).

As a player, you have everything a Viewer can do, plus access to your personal player page with your own statistics.

  • Own profile & personal statistics
    Your player information, photo and bio, filled in by your manager.
  • Track personal performance per season
    Your batting, fielding and pitching stats, broken down by season and game.
  • Personal notifications
    Get notified of your own milestones (HR, RBI, hits, wins) and when your stats are updated after a game. Toggle these under Notification settings.

The Team Manager manages one team: the roster, game statistics and live scoring. Scheduling games is reserved for the admin. You are the point of contact for your team.

  • Add and manage players in your team
    Add players manually or import them via CSV. Assign positions and jersey numbers.
  • Enter results & detailed statistics
    After a game, enter innings, hits, runs and errors for both teams.
  • Track live scoring during games
    Follow a game in real time: enter each at-bat result and keep the scoreboard up to date.
  • Set batting order per game
    Set the batting order for upcoming games and adjust it per game.

The Club Admin manages the full organisation of their club: multiple teams, the club profile and all associated players.

  • Create, edit & manage teams
    Create new teams, assign a Team Manager and link them to a competition.
  • Manage club info, logo & contact details
    Update the club name, contact details and logo shown on the club page.
  • Bulk import players via CSV
    Upload a CSV file to add multiple players to a team at once.
  • Transfer Player
    Move a player from one team to another team within (or outside) your club.
  • Add & manage board members
    Add chairman, secretary and other staff members to the club page.
  • Scouting: explore & assess players LITE
    Browse and assess players from other teams to consider transfers. Requires Premium Lite.

The Administrator has full system access. They manage the entire competition structure, clubs, teams and user roles.

  • Manage competitions, seasons & pools
    Create competitions, add pools and set the number of teams per pool.
  • Create & manage all clubs
    Add clubs to the system, link them to competitions and assign club admins.
  • Manage user accounts & roles
    View all registered users, assign roles and link managers to teams.
  • Import KNBSB player data
    Import official player data directly from the KNBSB database.
  • Compare player statistics PRO
    Compare statistics of two or more players side by side in one overview. Requires Premium Pro.
  • AI Chatbot for baseball insights PRO
    Ask questions about the competition, teams and players to the built-in AI assistant. Requires Premium Pro.
